I just had a thought. With the proliferation of outsourcing, more things become financially viable. How about a “WTF” button on ATM’s that links directly to an offshore call center. Questions about your balance? Press the “WTF” button and someone will answer your question.
They already have a “WTF” button at the gas station. They call it a “Call Attendant” button for those times when the pump won’t start or embarassingly your credit card fails authorization. I would like to see more “WTF” buttons at the point of contention. Get closer to your consumers corporate America. Satiate your consumer’s desire for instant gratification or instant resolution before it becomes an aggravation.
You could extend the idea everywhere such as cars.
“The check engine flashed, but then disapeared never to return.” Don’t go to the garage. Push the “WTF” button and maybe they can remote diagnose the issue without you wasting time driving to a garage.
The communication network is there and most likely underutilized. Perhaps the FCC should auction off some “WTF” bandwidth. I really see it taking off. This will blindside our offshore competitors. America’s secret weapon against our international competitors - the “WTF” button.
