I met Borris “Boom Boom” Becker last night

I saw Borris Becker last night at Medici Lounge in Dallas, TX. He was with 3 women dancing around him as he was smoking a cigar. He has a commanding presence even now. Borris is such a nice guy. So many people got pictures taken with him and he didn’t mind though he was there to relax. I didn’t get my picture taken because he had a woman on his lap. How do you go tell a tennis legend – “ummm can you get that woman off your lap and take a picture with me?”. Though judging by the guy, I wouldn’t doubt that he would. I chose to let him enjoy his night and not cause a disturbance by being a tourist.

One of my friends tells me Borris almost didn’t get in because he wasn’t on the list.

“You’re not on the list.”
“But I’m Borris Becker.”
“Yeah, but I don’t see any Borris Becker on the list.”
“George Michael told me to come here.”
“Ok.”

I guess the guy at the door wasn’t a tennis fan and didn’t know who he was, but knew who George Michael was. George owns the art gallery directly below the lounge.
