You’re making it hard to hate you Wal-Mart

Wal-Mart is easily hated. Well why not? Long lines, crowded, and you can’t turn around without some small appliance or toothpaste in your face in those little isles.

Could it be this easy to hate Mega company is now the bastion for energy saving? Could it be that the blue giant will be the one to push mainstream America into energy conservation? Gee I had my money on George Bush, but I guess we got more oil from Iraq so that didn’t pan out.

Wal-Mart is pushing Compact Fluorescent bulbs and has some ambitious goals of selling to 100million homes. Wow that would be big you greenies. Article Here.

You might think perhaps someone was smoking crack and this somehow slipped past the evil corporate lawyers. Nope, they have 2 green experimental stores – one in McKinney, TX and another one in Aurora, CO to experiment with solar and wind power as well as energy-conservation techniques. Add to that Wal-Mart is readying for large-scale moves into solar-power. No not selling it, but using it for their stores. Article Here.

Ouch another slip through the corporate lawyers. Being green has to be green on the bottomline, otherwise there is a whole lot of crack in Bentonville, AR.

You just can’t discount Wal-Mart. <-- Ok that was unintentional I swear :o)
