utube adds adsense – finally monetizing their name

Some of you may or may not recall, but as soon as Google bought youtube.com, traffic spiked because it was all over the press. Another site, utube.com also got a huge spike in traffic. In fact their bandwidth expense shot through the roof. As a result this company, an industrial company manufacturing you guessed it – tubes sued Google to stop using its name.

Well how else could they have handled it? Well I for one would have said screw these tubes and sold the rights to a youtube competitor like revver.com for instance. Or put up a bunch of adsense ads related to video. In any case, this guy could bank on his name. Eventually he could probably sell the domain to Google for a larger amount.

Well this guy finally wised up. utube.com still is the website for his tubing business, but now he has added adsense to the top. Hard to tell how much he makes, but he wised up.

Check it out utube.com. I’m sure he has the bandwidth now. )
