No Priuses for Iran

Wired Magazine, one of my favorite periodicals had this graph of global gas prices on their website.

Yet another reason Iran is evil - They pay only 33cents/gallon at the pump. I guess Toyota won’t be selling many Priuses there.

Well, you know that prices are mostly reflect the amount of money people can pay for the product, and Iranian citizens are not making much.
Another reason is that if they are producing a lot of oil, they can make a discount for their citizens. Iran is a very unique country - it’s actually Islamic Democracy, what ever it means, but it’s a very interesting concept ;)

Anyway, if you find prices for vodka and red caviar, you will understand why Russia is evil :D

My strongest opinion is that oil is highly overpriced due to the numerous speculators between the oil site and the end consumer, political drama and the greed of gas reselling companies.

A good reason to buy a fully electrical vehicle :)

Interestingly Iran has some of the most liberal youth (liberal meaning accepting western values). Unfortunately these educated youth are becoming more radicalized with our actions in the Middle East.

It is a known fact that the younger population had a decent view of America before we attacked Iraq and named Iran our next target (indirectly).

I would much rather have a lot of uneducated people hate me than a group of highly educated individuals that know how to organize, communicate, and are networked.

That’s true… That’s why I have hopes that current administration will make some wise decisions and solve the issue without any military actions…
