Pay Per Post - Bribes or Unbiased Opinion?

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed so you don't miss anything or Follow me on Twitter

There are tons of blogs out there in the web universe. Some are useful. Others are not. Some are unique. Others are rss feeds off other blogs.

Once you’ve drilled down through all the blogs and found some useful ones what happens when that blog becomes commercialized? I agree that a blogger has the right as anyone else to make some money and be compensated for his time. Where is the line however? There are services to help monetize blogs such as PayPerPost that allows you to put ads on blogs. This is where it gets tricky. Many times a blogger will gain credibility through his reviews of products or services. What happens when that same blogger reviews something he is paid to review?

My take is that depending on the compensation, a blogger can stay impartial. However if someone sends you an Acer Ferrari Laptop for a review of their operating system for example, you probably won’t get an unbiased opinion.

What’s your opinion on pay per post?
