Book Review Request - An American Hedge Fund

I just received an advanced copy book review request for “An American Hedge Fund” by Timothy Sykes. Timothy has been on CNBC and is a well-published author on financial topics. This is the first time I’ve received a book review request and I have to say this is one of my favorite topics. I think its no secret I secretly aspire to manage my own hedge fund. Not just for the money. Oh yes the ridiculous money, but also for the thrill and challenge. I’m anxiously awaiting to see if Timothy does this industry justice in his book.
Stay tuned. My book review will most likely be one of my longer blog entries to date. The review will be unpaid and unbiased.

I couldn’t put it down either. It looks like he wasn’t too successful though in the end. Hope that didn’t give away anything.

I purchased Sykes book and read it over the weekend. It is a poorly written life story of a failed trader who has fallen on hard times. This book is basically like a blog of an average person who got lucky trading stocks (which it really should be - blog and nothing more).
Beware of all the phony glowing reviews for Sykes Book. Its the good ole boy network in high gear where authors/investment advisers use the buddy system to give fake good reviews to each other.
Book NOT worth $20!
Better bet is to buy book - Millionaire Traders by Kathy Lien. At least you will learn something. OR Curtis Faith’s book.

It is not your LOSING MONEY but it your LOSING HEART that makes me wonder if you ARE A MAN AT ALL…Almost every good/great trader had big losses and came back. BUT YOU SIR simply RAN away and are TRYING to FIND another profession..
that’s SIGN OF A LOSER..If your story had shown even a slight iota of grit in you it might have been worth read.
But You are just another loser..Many people make a fortune in markets.
and as they say Markets GIVE and take back with same ferocity…I just hope you have a better luck as a writer (which btw doesn’t look like happening as of now)
