In my post How to Invest with a Weakening U.S. Dollar, I mentioned that investing in companies with a good deal of overseas sales is a good plan for a weakening dollar. I also gave out a few potential stock picks that fit the bill. I’ve come up with some more favorite picks for adding to your global exposure.

In no certain order here they are:

  • Precision Cast Parts (PCP) - Manufactures complex metal components and products, investment castings, forgings and fasteners/fastener systems for aerospace and industrial gas turbine (IGT) applications.
    • 17% OperatingMargin vs Peers’ 10%
    • Trades at 18PE
    • New airplane order growth is coming from overseas.
  • Foster Wheeler (FWLT) - A global engineering and construction contractor and power equipment supplier. There are tremendous opportunities in the developing countries for infrastructure and engineering services. For example, China alone requires the equivalent of 200 nuclear plants to meet its rapidly expanding and growing energy needs.
    • 85 percent of income is from overseas
    • $2.7 billion backlog of orders
    • Trades at a forward PE of 17.6
  • Amgen (AMGN) - This biopharmaceutical giant has been beaten down recently with 2 of its largest anemia drugs under attack. It is a good time to get in on this stock as it has a strong pipeline of replacement drugs.
    • 17% earnings growth
    • Forward PE is only 13.9
  • SPDR S&P BRIC 40 (BIK) - This ETF is a way to play the BRIC markets (Brazil, Russia, India, China). These emerging markets will give you good overseas exposure in some of the most relevant financial markets today.
    • 30% return over the last 6 months
    • Passive ETF to match underlying market performance
