I like to periodically check in on what I’m recommending and see how well my performance is. For the past 2 months, I clocked in a 4.21% Return in October. That’s pretty good. Annualized it would be much more.

Below is the spreadsheet that shows my picks and pans. 11 of 13 were positive trades which is consistent with my trading.

My 4 China Stock Picks on Oct 3 did particularly well with 3 of 4 up and 2 in double-digits. My Oct 17 Chinese Oil Stocks didn’t do as well as I hoped. I suspect it will take a little more time for them to get the gains I was expecting. In any case they are at par in my opinion, but worth holding on to.

On Oct 8 I recommended some ETF’s for a Falling Dollar. Those stocks did well collectively averaging 5% up for the month. On Oct 1 I recommended some 4 Stocks to add to your International Portfolio. They averaged close to 5% up. They were mainly stocks with international exposure, not necessarily pure foreign stocks.

I generally shoot for a return of 3-4%/month with a target end of year of 50% total for the year. I’m generally happy with the performance for October. I think with a few tweaks I could have hit 5%, but some of these picks are more long-term plays.
