Ron Paul on the web

Usually I don’t get super involved in politics. By no means do I consider myself political.

However I think we’ve moved far enough in the wrong direction that I’m finding it difficult to watch the news as it pertains to our foreign policy, domestic energy policy, and fiscal policy. I see bailouts of big Wall Street money at the expense of the everyday American.

Yes, those interest rate cuts bailout the big hedge funds that need cheap money to continue their deals. It bails out the banks that made poor choices. And it hurts the domestic consumer by eroding his spending power by driving up inflation. Foreign goods become more expensive and let’s face it, we are an importing nation. There is nothing wrong with that as economic theory dictates we should produce what we have a comparative advantage and trade for those goods in which we don’t.

I recently joined a meetup to support Ron Paul. Why?

  1. Ron Paul understands the constitution.
  2. Ron Paul understands that we need not attack every nation that we need resources from to mask poor domestic energy policy.
  3. He understands that while it is easy to sell cutting interest rates, that their is an underlying citizen that gets hurt.
  4. He asks tough questions no matter how unpopular.

Since the media seems to be biased against Ron I thought I’d post some tidbits from the web:
